My 2 cents...
Today, so many of us (most with kiddos) have the vehicles that also have the DVD players and so forth, our car ACTUALLY has a DVD & VHS player (I suppose those are for the MOST desperate) which describes Will and I when traveling. But if I must say so myself, I am glad that we decided we don't watch movies in the car UNLESS we are going a long distance.
I am greatful because this last week I have had some of the most precious conversations with my children.
THE LIST
a man with a 'metal' leg (nollie terms)
which led into:
WAR
the difference between the Coast Guard (like daddy)
and Army dudes (nollie terms) like Papa
how people that stay here feel compared to those in heaven
how do you know when you are dying
what do you see when you are about to die
(you get the picture about the 'death' topic)
"a friend told me there is gum that doesn't make your lungs turn black when you smoke"(kynedy terms)
which in tern led me to:
smokers
addiction
God tells us to take care of our bodies
car wrecks
why we do things to stay safe
how to be nice to friends that pick their nose
how to be nice to the mean carly
why be nice if I dont't like them (good question...j/k)
how does Jesus live in EVERYONES heart
my response: " he only lives in the hearts of those who ask" (trying to dodge the bullet of explaining the rest of that question)
so..how does he live in more than one persons heart?
what happens if kids die and that havn't asked him to live there yet?
will my grandpa David still know me in heaven even though I never met him(kynedy)
(which brought us ALL the way back to the death topic) AGAIN...
and so my point is made. That all those thoughts are pondered in those deep little minds and what better place than driving around to have those conversations when you actually have for the most part, their undevided attention.
Also, please feel free to comment on your own answers...I need all the help I can get!

Woooooow. Remind me to always take my OWN car. And, when you get some helpful advice, please pass it on. Cade already asks the most random questions and he is definetly NOT satisfied with the '4 year old' answer! Love ya!
Oh my sweet Daughter, you will always have so many more questions than answers. Pray, read and take a deep breath and answer as honestly as possible. Remember, you don't always have to have an answer and a simple "I don't know and will have to see if I can get an answer to that" can also be a good answer! God bless and I love you!
